Hippo and Friends 1 Teacher's Book

Hippo and Friends is a new3-level pre-school course for 3-5 year-olds. It uses a song-andstory-based approach with actions and activities to reinforce learning.The Pupil's Books are packed full of delightful illustrations whichwill engage children right from the start.

Songs and stories introduce the topic of each unit - topics which aredesigned to encourage positive attitudes in young children, such ashelping others and sharing. There are also special extra units onfestivals such as Christmas and Halloween in the Teacher's Book.At the end of each unit children have the opportunity to make a simplestorybook which they can take home. This takes English outside theclassroom making the language more meaningful, and enables parents tobe involved in the learning process.

The course is easy to use and is suitable for schools offering from just one lesson a week to 5 lessons a week. The full-colour Teacher's Bookscontain step-by-step lesson plans and classroom management techniques.Each unit is divided into 5 lessons: Sing and learn, Listen and learn,Do and learn, Say and learn, and Moving on. There are also plenty ofideas for extra activities which offer the teacher flexibility andchoice.
